| Box Stalls |
We have 15 12' x 12' box stalls in the main barn and
four 10' x 10' boxes in the pony barn. Bars on the front and side
partitions allow the horses to socialize, and each stall has a window for
light and ventilation. We bed generously, with pine shavings over rubber
mats. |
| Run-In Shed |
In addition to the two barns, we have two places in a run-in
shed for horses who enjoy living outdoors. |
| Indoor Arena |
Our well-lit indoor arena measures 70' x 144'. It has a
Permaflex sand and rubber footing for year-round comfort and safety.
Numerous mirrors facilitate instruction and schooling. |
| Outdoor Arena |
Surrounded by woods and fields, our 100' x 200' outdoor
arena offers a relaxing setting for working outdoors. It has a well-drained
sand and sawdust footing and a 4' perimeter fence. |
| Round Pen |
Our round pen provides a convenient spot for longeing or
"joining up" with your horse. |
| Turnout Areas |
Five stalls in the main barn have immediate turnout. Six
additional paddocks allow us to offer single or group turnout tailored to
each horse's needs for company and exercise. |
| Grass Turnout |
In season, we offer group turnout in two large grass
paddocks located by the outdoor arena. We find most horses enjoy the added
space and green vegetables for an hour or two, before asking to come back to
their regular turnouts nearer the barn. We also allow hand grazing on the
lawns by the house and barn — a nice treat after a
ride. |
| Trails |
Our farm is 21 acres and bounded on two sides by the 40+
acres of vegetable fields of Stonefield Farm. Between the two farms, we have
about two miles of trails, around the fields and through our woods. Longer
rides are available on nearby conservation land. |
| Cross Country |
We have access to five acres of field and woods on a
neighboring property, in which we've started a cross-country course. |
| Tack Room |
For the comfort of our staff and customers, our tack room is
heated in Winter and air-conditioned in Summer. A large viewing window
allows guests to watch riders in the indoor arena. We have racks for 30
saddles and 40 bridles; additional tack storage space is available upstairs.
We have all the creature comforts, including a sink, a refrigerator, a
microwave, and two friendly cats. |
| Bathroom |
In addition to the usual plumbing, the bathroom has a
shower, which is handy for those times when you need to leave the barn and
go straight to the office or a party. |
| Laundry |
We have a washer and dryer in the barn for saddle pads, polo
wraps, blankets, etc. |
| Wash Stall |
Our 12' x 12' wash stall has hot and cold water. |
